If you have a question about this talk, please contact Pantelis Georgiou. The inductive link has been widely used for simultaneous wireless power and data transmission for various applications such as RFI Ds, IoT sensors, and biomedical implants. In this tutorial, basic principles of inductive coupling, wireless power transmission, and backscattering will be first reviewed. Then, recent techniques to enhance the data rate, power transfer efficiency, power consumption and robustness in inductive power and data transmission will be discussed. In addition, practical design considerations in the context of biomedical applications will be covered. This talk is part of the Pantelis Georgiou's list series.
