Kalyan Sen is the Chief Technology Officer of Sen Engineering Solutions, Inc. He spent 29 years in academia and industry and became a Westinghouse Fellow Engineer for the development of FACTS technology. He holds BEE , MSEE, and PhD degrees, all in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA . He has served as an IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer since 2002.

In this talk he will provide a high-level overview of different power flow control technologies to highlight their principles of operation, their benefits and their role in the operation of the transmission system.
