If you have a question about this talk, please contact Joshua M Levine. This talk will introduce KOCL : the PRiME Project’s automated tool flow for generating FPGA designs capable of accelerating OpenCL kernel execution while reporting their own power consumptions. KOCL (KAPow for OpenCL) combines Altera’s OpenCL compiler with a refined version of PRiME’s existing KAPow (‘K’ounting Activity for Power estimation) flow. It requires no user exposure to, or understanding of, hardware, and enables easy access to live kernel-level power consumptions from OpenCL host code. This talk is part of the CAS Talks series.
