If you have a question about this talk, please contact Grigorios Mingas.

The project is to design a support system that improves transmission efficiency of visual data between processor and external data source, by the use of prior knowledge learned in an off-line training process. The system is expected to serve as a cache system specifically designed according to a certain selection of visual data and therefore is able to significantly improve the bandwidth usage when receiving these class of data from an external data source. The goal is to propose a framework for such system and demonstrate the viability of the idea.

The talk will give a brief summarization of the progress since my transfer presentation in December. I will talk about the idea and concept behind the project, as well as the methodology, the design progress so far and the problems to solve in near future.

This talk is part of the CAS Talks series.
