In this talk I’ll present the self-organizing networks as the only viable way of achieving optimal performance in future Wireless Cellular Systems. Self-organizing networks are agile networks where the resource usage is maximized. One of the cores of self-organizing networks is the capability of drawing intelligent decisions to adapt to the dynamics of the environment. Such intelligent decisions are made by means of learning algorithms. After a brief introduction to machine learning and learning algorithms we will introduce the new emerging paradigm of Docitive networks, where the nodes of the network share their knowledge instead of learning alone. We show some examples in a wireless urban area.
