Git is being adopted across the group both for individual and collaborative projects. While powerful, git has a number of traps and pitfalls which can catch the uninitiated. In this talk I will explain the underlying concepts, walk through the most common tasks and show how to diagnose common error messages. By the end you should better understand how git works and be able to use it more effectively.
